Fire burns down puncture shop
A sudden fire gutted a puncture repair shop, reducing tyre tubes and other items kept in the shop to ashes, near Jail Chowrangi in the wee hours of Tuesday. Soon after the fire erupted, the fire department was informed of the incident and a fire tender was dispatched to the site. Meanwhile, area locals continued attempts to douse the blaze on their own. As a result, by the time the fire tender reached the spot, the fire had been contained to quite an extent and it took firefighters very little time to extinguish it completely. The cause of the fire couldn’t be determined till the filing of this report and no casualties were reported in the incident. Jamshed Quarter Police Station SHO Qamar Zeb Sati, who had reached the site with a police party, has launched an investigation into the matter.
