Sindh Agriculture Minister Muhammad Ismail Rahoo said on Tuesday, "The Centre's decision to privatise 19 institutions is against the interest of the nation." He held firm that the Centre's plans to privatise 19 major institutions would not be accepted under any circumstances, stating that it would put millions of people out of jobs.
"A conspiracy has been hatched by the federal government to privatise these institutions, which will be handed over to ATM machines at exorbitant prices," he claimed, adding that the decision was based on "malicious intent" and was part of the federal government's "reward policy."
Rahoo warned that the Sindh government would not allow for "the stoves of more than 32,000 households to be shut off."
He further alleged that instead of giving millions of youth jobs, Prime Minister Imran Khan's government was ensuring that they remained jobless.
