QUETTA:

Lamenting over previous regimes for deliberately neglecting provincial youth, the Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports, Culture and Tourism Abdul Khaliq Hazara on Monday reiterated the incumbent provincial government’s seriousness in promoting sports in Balochistan.

"In view of the declining cases of Covid-19 in the province, a decision will be taken soon after Eid in order to restore sports activities under strict SOPs," Hazara said while inaugurating a sports gym in Quetta Press Club on Monday.

"In light of the dedication and hard work of journalists working day and night, there should be some form of physical activities for them in order to boost their fitness,” Hazara said as he pledged to help QPC in expansion of the gym.

"Due to the burden of work on journalists sometimes they do not even get a chance to have lunch and drink tea due to their busy schedule so it is very important for them to participate in healthy activities."

The advisor expressed satisfaction over decline in coronavirus cases in Balochistan.

Hazara vowed to pay special attention towards development of sports activities in Balochistan unlike previous governments. "Sports complexes of international standards are being constructed in all districts including the constituencies of opposition members which would foster sports and healthy activities in Balochistan," Hazara added.
