Hepatitis awareness drive stressed

The CM said that the whole society should play a role in combating this disease

LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Monday that people should be sensitised about the risks of hepatitis. They should adopt necessary precautions as well as get themselves vaccinated to avert infection, he said in his message issued on the World Hepatitis Day. The CM said that the whole society should play a role in combating this disease. “People from different walks of life should come forward to play their role in raising public awareness about it,” he said. Buzdar said that hepatitis treatment facilities had been provided in hospitals and the disease could be eradicated by moving in the right direction. “Hepatitis-free Punjab is our mission and the provincial government is committed to provide the best treatment to patients to end the disease,” he said.
