In a dynamic webinar, KB19 Catalogue Editor Zehra Hamdani Mirza unveiled Pakistan’s first comprehensive online art publication. KBT CEO Nilofur Farrukh talked about the biennale’s mandate since early 2019 to lower carbon footprint and be ‘green’ in its ethos and structure.

Muhammad Zeeshan, Curator of KB19, discussed the impact that an e-publication has on art students, educators and society, offering access to international art and discourse to all instead of some. Karachi Biennale Design and Marketing Manager Zainab Marvi showcased visual elements of the catalogue and KB19’s design elements, and digital partner Umair Ali Khatri discussed technical functions of the catalogue that contain interactive audio visual features.

This 300-page e-publication is reader-friendly with interactive digital features and embedded videos to enhance viewer experience. The document is packed with the art of almost a hundred artists and discussions that include essays by leading voices in the fields of ecology, sustainable design and community partnerships, which highlight the link between environment, art and the city.
