Former interior minister Senator Rehman Malik on Monday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military's media wing said the two discussed matters related to defence and internal security.
The senator appreciated the Pakistan Army's success in bringing peace to the country and pledged support of the Senate Committee on Internal Security towards consolidating the gains.
Separately, Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Mujahid Anwar Khan also called on General Qamar and discussed matters of professional interest during the meeting.
