Aishwarya Rai, Aaradhya Bachchan test negative for Covid-19
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan have tested negative for coronavirus, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan tweeted on Monday.
Taking to Twitter, the junior Bachchan revealed, "Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home."
He went on to add, "My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff."
Last week, the mother-daughter duo was admitted in the hospital after the former Miss World was reportedly having trouble breathing. They had been in self-quarantine at home but the Times of India newspaper said they were moved to the Nanavati Hospital on Friday after complaining of "breathlessness".
Aishwarya won the Miss World Crown in 1994 and has since become one of the most famous faces in Bollywood. She has been a regular on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007.
The elder Bachchan idolised in India and affectionately known as "Big B" - has a more than four-decade-long career in the film industry.
