Only 2,400 Covid-19 patients in Islamabad

The DC says of 1,915 coronavirus tests conducted on Sunday, only 20 resulted back positive

ISLAMABAD:

The number of people infected by coronavirus in Islamabad has dropped to 2,400 only, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hamza Shafqaat on Sunday

He said that the cases dropped drastically after proper implementation on smart lockdown strategy.

The DC said that of 1,915 coronavirus tests conducted on Sunday, only 20 resulted back positive.

He added that until now, the Islamabad administration has carried out some 178,421 tests. “We have formed special teams for implementation of SOPs on Eidul Azha, Shafqat said. The officer added that the district officials would remain in field to control price hike before and during religious occasion.
