RAWALPINDI:

The district police have arrested an injured robber after trading fire with him, officers claimed on Wednesday. The robber’s accomplices managed to flee. A police spokesperson said that the Rawalpindi and Attock police had conducted a joint operation against a gang of robbers in the Trolley Adda area. However, during the operation, the robbers and police traded fire leaving one robber, identified as Bakhti Khan, injured. Police took Bakhti into custody and shifted him to a local hospital while a search was launched for his accomplices. However, they failed to find anyone. Officials said that Bakhti had been wanted by the Attock and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) police in several cases.
