16 held during crackdown in Islamabad

Koral police arrested three suspects

ISLAMABAD:

Police have arrested as many as 16 people from across the city during a crackdown against drug peddlers and other criminal elements.

They also recovered a stolen motorbike, narcotics, liquor and weapons from the possession of these suspects, a police spokesperson said. The official said that the Margalla police had arrested Aamir and recovered 10 litres of alcohol from him.

The Tarnol police arrested a suspected drug peddler, identified as Ikramullah and recovered 1.2 kilogrammes of hashish from him. The Industrial-Area police arrested Faisal and recovered 2.005 kilogrammes of hashish from him. Similarly, officers of the Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) arrested Ameer Hamza and recovered a stolen motorbike from him.

The Khanna police arrested Muhammad Saddique and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him. Moreover, the Koral police arrested three suspects including Arslan, Muhammad Bilal and Tasswur Iqbal and recovered three, 30 bore pistols from their possession.
