ISLAMABAD:

Businessmen and traders of the federal capital on Monday urged the apex civic authority of the city to develop and maintain the markets and industrial areas of the federal capital and build them as a model for the rest of the country.

In a statement issued on Monday, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Senior Vice President Tahir Abbasi said that being the capital of the country, Islamabad should be built as a model city in terms of development.

However, he lamented that no development work has been carried out in the city for the past four years.
