Protest against gyms’ closured

Scores of male and female gym instructors attended the protest

The owners and employees of gyms and fitness clubs staged a protest against their closure amid the coronavirus outbreak outside the Karachi Press Club on Monday. Scores of male and female gym instructors attended the protest, pointing out that the establishments had been closed for months, affecting the incomes of those affiliated with the fitness clubs. They added that thousands of people had lost their livelihood and faced joblessness due to the continued closure. The protesters further claimed that they offered healthy activities that spread positivity and should therefore be allowed to function under a set of standard operating procedures such as the ones devised for other businesses.
