Two men shot and injured

Two men were shot and injured in separate incidents in the city on Sunday night. Robbers reportedly opened fire on a man for offering resistance during a looting bid in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, wounding him. The injured, identified as Tayyab Ali, 27, was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, while the robbers fled after snatching Ali’s mobile phone and cash. Police have launched an investigation. Meanwhile, a man was injured by a stray bullet near Liaquatabad Supermarket. The injured, identified as Aftab, 40, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Further investigation is under way.
