Private schools warn of reopening in August
A representative body of private schools in the province on Sunday staged a protest in Rawalpindi, warning the government that they will unilaterally reopen private educational institutes from next month with or without official sanction. The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) warned that they will reopen schools in the province from August 15 without waiting for the official orders, like religious seminaries. The APPSF took out a rally in Rawalpindi on Sunday which was attended by owners of private schools. Office-bearers of the federation, including its President Kashif Mirza, and others addressed the participants. The prolonged closure of educational institutions was increasing the number of out-of-school children across the country.
