Five rescued in Pindi house fire

RAWALPINDI:

A fire erupted in a two-storey house in the Sadiqabad area on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 promptly extinguished it, preventing causalities. Rescue teams said they safely rescued four children and a woman from the house after putting out the fire.

Rescue officials said that due to heavy smoke inside the house from the fire, the lives of the victims were in danger.

However, some 20 rescuers took part in the operation and saved them. The officials said that apart from rescue workers, three fire tenders, two rescue vehicles, and an ambulance took part in the operation.
