‘Drunk’ father drowns child in Badin

A young child drowned to death while his brother survived after their father tossed them in a waterway following a dispute with his wife near Tando Jan Mohammad in Badin on Sunday. While villagers managed to rescue five-year-old Govind, they were unable to save Sajan’s life. According to the police, the suspect was intoxicated when he threw the children into the Khoski Minor waterway. The police shifted the deceased to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed the body over to the family. Meanwhile, the police arrested the suspect and initiated an investigation into the incident.
