Man accused of blackmailing in-laws in Punjab
A man accused of blackmailing his wife’s family after taking her nude photographs has sought post-arrest bail from the Lahore High Court.
Accused Zulifqar Ali contended in his bail petition that he had been incriminated in a false case to humiliate him. The petitioner said he was a respectable citizen and there was no apprehension of repetition of the offence or tampering with the prosecution evidence if he was released on bail. He prayed to the court to grant him post-arrest bail.

The father of the woman had lodged the first information report (FIR) against the accused. He stated that the accused used to behave abhorrently with his daughter and bully her after getting drunk. He said the accused also habitually used vulgar language about his mother-in-law.
He alleged that the accused had taken nude pictures of his daughter and started blackmailing his family. He said the accused forced his wife to arrange his meeting with her sister and mother with immoral motives. When she refused to do so, she was tortured.
The complainant also accused the man of passing objectionable remarks about his sister-in-law.
