Colgate launches Covid relief drive in Rawalpindi

The goods will be distributed in low-income group localities

RAWALPINDI:

The Colgate Palmolive Pakistan Limited on Saturday kicked off its Covid-19 Relief Campaign under which it will distribute 80,000 safety kits.

The inauguration ceremony of the drive was organised at the Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office on Saturday.

The company will distribute 80,000 safety kits for free under the relief campaign to keep people safe from contracting the pandemic virus.

While addressing the ceremony, Rawalpindi DC Anwarul Haq said that the company was standing by the people during the hard times. He emphasised that it was also important to wash hands frequently besides maintaining social distance and wearing masks to stay safe from Covid-19.

DC suggested that the kits must be distributed in areas having population of the poor people, adding that the safety kits provided by Colgate Palmolive Pakistan were also important for prevention against other diseases than coronavirus.

The company also distributed some 300 safety kits to the DC office staff.

Talking to media on the occasion, Senior Zonal Manager Islamabad Ali Babar said that 500,000 kits would be distributed throughout Pakistan during the Colgate-Palmolive Code 19 relief campaign. The goods will be distributed in low-income group localities.
