Mayor urges youth to study Holy Quran

Says all issues can be resolved by following teachings of the Holy Book

ISLAMABAD:

A vacuum has emerged between people and the teachings of the Holy Quran, Islamabad Mayor Anser Aziz said, urging the youth to recite the Holy Book for seeking solutions to the issues they face today.

While visiting an exhibition of antique copies of the Holy Quran qat a shopping mall in Islamabad, he urged the new generation to develop the habit of reciting the Holy Quran.

He said that people are facing a number of issues in the current situation of lockdown doe to coronavirus. The solutions of all the issues are available in the Holy Quran. But, the key is to find it with full faith and guidance of the experts of the field.

Reading Quran made compulsory in varsities

Aziz noted that distance between people and the Holy Quran has increased to an extreme level. The issues being faced by masses can be resolved by reciting the Holy Quran by following its teachings. One gets peace of heart by even seeing the copies of the Holy Quran, he added.

Regarding the state of Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC), he said that the incumbent government of PTI is continuously ignoring the corporation.

The government is not providing funds to IMC therefore no any mega project could be started in the city. However, IMC is giving its best by utilising the available resources. The work done by IMC in current situation caused by the spread of coronavirus is in front of everyone. IMC played a remarkable role in resolving the water issue in Islamabad. But, the government is continuously creating hurdles for the corporation, he further said.
