Education emergency: Shoddy training makes for shoddy teachers

District Officer (DO) Elementary Education Razia Tabassum sent the cases of teachers with bogus appointment to the anti-corruption department. A large number of fake recruitments were detected in the Faisalabad Education Department.

During the verification, the DO identified a number of female teachers who had been teaching in government schools for up to 18 years on the basis of fake documents.

While checking the record, reportedly, the degrees of some of the teachers turned out to be bogus and the department does not have the record of joining and appointment letters of some others.

During the recruitment in different periods from 2002 to 2008, the women got jobs in the education department with the help of bogus documents.
