34 more Covid-19 deaths reported in Sindh

As many as 34 more people have died due to the coronavirus in the province, disclosed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday, adding that 1,155 new cases of the virus were also diagnosed, out of the 10,574 samples tested on the day.

As a result, he added, Sindh’s virus tally had reached 110,068 while the death toll had soared to 1,922 in the province. He further apprised that 615,302 people have been screened for the virus to date.

Moreover, he stated that 34,070 patients were currently infected with the virus, of whom 33,094 were in home isolation, 923 were being treated in hospitals and 53 were quarantined at isolation centres. The condition of 738 patients was said to be critical and 105 of them have been put on ventilators.

The CM further said that 3,775 patients had recovered from Covid-19 overnight, taking the total number of recovered people to 74,076 – around 67 per cent of the total infected individuals.
