KARACHI:

K-Electric’s oppression of the city’s people is worsening, claimed Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Wednesday. Meeting citizens affected by load-shedding on Wednesday, he maintained that the country’s elite were unaware of how the underprivileged people fed themselves and their children. “And after this, when they [the people] try to sleep at night, they face power outages,” he decried. Holding the power utility and its supporters responsible for the situation, the provincial minister said the Sindh government had raised the issue at all the forums, but the citizens of Karachi only met the federal government’s lack of concern and false consolations in return.
