QUETTA:

Governor of Balochistan Justice (retd) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Wednesday stressed the need to change traditional teaching methods in the advanced age of science and technology as online learning has become an important part of the education system and its importance is constantly increasing.

He shared these views while presiding a meeting to discuss the prevailing online classes issue pestering students of remote areas in Balochistan.

Yasinzai directed all VCs in the province to make it possible for students from remote districts to access online classes and provide them with all necessary facilities so that their precious time is not wasted.

Talking to the Vice Chancellors, the Governor said that by making full use of the modern facilities of information technology, we can promote a healthy environment in our higher education institutions, raising the standard of education and modernising teaching methods in Balochistan.

"We are closely monitoring the ongoing online classes in all government universities in the province due to the deadly coronavirus and especially the problems faced by students in remote districts who do not have access to internet,"
