Dairy farmers increase milk prices

Price of milk spiked to Rs120 per litre in Karachi

KARACHI:

Dairy farmers announced on Tuesday a raise of Rs10 per litre of milk. Following this, vendors increased the price of milk to Rs120 per litre, while some shops refused to sell the commodity.

The majority of the milk sellers held dairy farmers responsible for the rise in milk prices and said that they did not have any option except for selling it at a higher rate.

On the other hand, citizens have complained of milk shortage and it being sold at inflated rates. They have appealed to relevant authorities to take notice of the matter.
