Cop suspended for creating ruckusd
The district police department on Monday suspended a constable for allegedly creating a disturbance at the RIUKT and fighting with medical staff. Rawalpindi City Police Officer (COP) Ahsan Younus suspended the constable, identified as Muhammad Irfan. Sources informed that Irfan had rushed his brother, Imran, to the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and Kidney Transplant (RIUKT) after he suffered a cardiac arrest. However, Imran passed away. The victim’s family then fought with the hospital’s staff and created bedlam. As news of the incident spread, the CPO took notice of it directed the constable to report to the Rawalpindi Civil Lines. The city police chief said that the constable had flouted departmental discipline upon which he will face action. He clarified that there was a zero-tolerance policy against mistreatment with people.
