Two ‘drug peddlers’ apprehended

Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested by the Jamshed Quarters police during an operation on Jamshed Road on Sunday. SHO Qamar Zaib Satti revealed that large quantities of drugs had been confiscated from the possession of the suspects, Ilyas and Farhan. A case has also been registered against them under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997. Separately, two alleged gutka sellers were arrested by the Kalakot police and nine kilogrammes of gutka was confiscated from their possessions. Kalakot SHO Asif Munawar stated that the suspects, Babar Ali and Kamran Ali, had been booked in a case. Meanwhile, the owner of an eatery was also arrested and booked for violating lockdown restrictions.
