‘LWMC to provide exceptional cleanliness on Eid’

LAHORE:

More than 50,000 tonnes of waste is collected in the city during the three days of Eidul Azha each year, said Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Chairperson Riaz Hameed Chaudhry.

Chairing a meeting with respect to cleanliness operation on upcoming Eidul Azha at LWMC’s head office, he said, “This year also, the LWMC with the help of its implementing partners and other departments will provide exceptional cleanliness services to the citizens of Lahore.”

Work on waste disposal system reviewed

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Ijaz Chaudhary, the PHA chairman, WASA vice chairperson, LWMC MD, DMD and GM operations, contractors, and officials from Pakistan Railway, EPA, commissioner office, City Traffic Police, MCL and other departments participated in the meeting.

The objective of the meeting was to resolve with mutual consent all issues faced by theLWMC and the contractors during Eidul Azha. The LWMC chairperson appealed to all departments for collaborative efforts and support during Eidul Azha for a successful cleanliness operation in the provincial capital.
