Man kills brother-in-law, injures two others

Police conducting raids to arrest the culprit, accomplices

FAISALABAD:

A man has shot dead his brother-in-law and injured two other family members over a domestic dispute.

Police took the corpse into their custody and shifted it to the hospital for postmortem examination, whereas the injured were admitted for treatment. Police said on Monday that the daughter of Tanveer Ahmed, a resident of Defence View in City Police Station limits, had married Haider, a resident of Ismailabad.

After the couple had a baby, Haider started beating his wife due to domestic disputes. On Sunday, Haider beat his wife again, over which she called her father and brothers.

Haider's father-in-law Tanveer Ahmed and brothers-in-law Qamar Tanveer and Badar Tanveer came to his house for resolving the issue.

In a fit of rage, Haider along with his brothers opened fire on his father-in-law Tanveer and brothers-in-law Badar and Qamar after an exchange of harsh words. As a result, all three of them were severely injured and Qamar succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Police have registered a case against eight people, including the mother of the main accused and her four sons, on charges of murder.

Raids were launched to arrest the suspected murderer and his accomplices.
