ISLAMABAD:

Balochistan government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani said the provincial government has created 6,500 jobs for people in the current fiscal budget and will announce around 40,000 jobs for the youth by next year.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to immediately implement job quota for Balochistan’s youth,” said Shahwani on Sunday while addressing a press conference in Islamabad at National Press Club.

The spokesperson lamented the previous government ignored Balochistan in projects of CPEC. However, he lauded efforts of CPEC Authority Chairman Asim Bajwa and expressed gratitude for the approval of Rs26 billion for Khushab Awaran CDWP.

Besides, Shahwani apprised people the recovery rate of coronavirus patients in Balochistan is 67 per cent. “Quetta has highest number of Covid-19 cases in the province which constitute 84 per cent of the cases. However, after implementation of SOPs the cases from the provincial capital have declined,” he said.
