ACE launches operation against land grabbers

Punjab ACE Director has directed all regional officers to pace up the operation against land grabbers

LAHORE:

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) retrieved land worth Rs4 billion from land mafia and demolished the boundary walls of four illegally occupied plots and four shops.

According to officials, Punjab ACE Director General Muhammad Gohar Nafees has directed all regional officers to pace up the operation against land grabbers without any discrimination as part of the efforts to eradicate corruption from the province.

On the directives of the DG, a grand operation was launched with the help of the district administration and police in Harbanspura against land grabbers.

During this operation, the ACE retrieved 25 kanals of land situated in a dangerous area of Chundian, Harbanspura, which was worth Rs4 billion.

Reportedly, in the last 20 years, no government agency had entered the area to vacate the land. During the operation, all supporters of the land grabbers were also arrested by police. In the operation, boundary walls of four illegally occupied plots were also demolished along with four shops.
