Having recovered from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) Mayor Shiekh Anser Aziz on Friday reviewed the monsoon preparations. He visited different areas of the city and checked the state of preparedness for monsoon rains. The mayor expressed grave concerns over the scarcity of water this summer. However, he said that if all government functionaries had backed their efforts, in terms of funding and development schemes, the federal capital would have been flourishing. The mayor directed all subordinate functionaries of the environment, sanitation and flood relief cells, to ensure services are provided to residents at their doorstep and to figure out the best service delivery mechanism for all areas of the city without discrimination.
