‘Buses from K-P should be let into city’
The Sindh police have turned the pandemic into a source of income and those associated with public transport are facing extreme inconvenience as a result, claimed Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh president Shahi Syed on Friday.
According to Syed, passenger buses travelling from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa were being stopped at Kathore on the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway, forcing passengers to enter the city limits using taxis or rickshaws.
Stating that it was people, not buses, who were spreading the infection, he said that if people were let into the city, the buses should be allowed in as well.
The ANP leader added that transporters had demanded to be permitted to drop off passengers at Banaras Bacha Khan Chowk, and appealed to the chief minister for this.
