Sindh sees 1,468 new Covid-19 cases

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Friday that 36 more patients succumbed to Covid-19 in the province, while 1,468 new coronavirus cases emerged on the day.

In a statement issued on the day, he said that following this development, Sindh Covid-19 tally had climbed to 102,368 and the death toll rose to 1,731.

Among the newly reported cases, he said, 592 were reported from Karachi, followed by 82 from Hyderabad, 72 from Shaheed Benazirabad, 71 from Ghotki, 54 from Khairpur, 50 from Tando Allahyar, 47 from Sukkur, 42 from Jamshoro, 39 from Thatta, 38 from Kashmore-Kandhkot, 27 from Qambar-Shahdadkot, 26 from Mirpurkhas, 22 from Sujawal, 20 from Tando Muhammad Khan, 16 from Badin, 15 from Shikarpur, 13 from Larkana, seven from Jacobabad, six from Sanghar, three each from Dadu and Umerkot and two from Naushero Feroze.

The CM further stated that after the recovery of 1,538 more patients, the total number of recuperated patients had increased to 59,165, leaving 41,490 under treatment. Among them, 39,859 are in home-isolation, 400 are in isolation centres and 1231 in hospitals, including 1,069 who are critically ill and 113 on ventilators, he added.
