CPWB rescues child maid

CPWB Chairperson Sara Ahmad vowed to initiate legal action against the accused

LAHORE:

The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) has rescued an eight-year-old girl from WAPDA Town after she was reportedly tortured by her employers. The victim was identified as Sana. She had marks of torture on her hands, feet and neck. She also had burn marks. The victim had been employed at the house of a citizen identified as Hammad for the past six months. His neighbours had informed the police that they used to hear the victim screaming during beating every other day. CPWB Chairperson Sara Ahmad vowed to initiate legal action against the accused.
