FAISALABAD:

The district administration has decided to allow temporary cattle markets at 29 locations across the division for the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals for Eidul Azha.

A spokesman for the local administration said on Thursday that 11 points have been designated in the Faisalabad district for cattle markets, while eight points have been reserved in the Jhang district.

Moreover, cattle markets will be allowed to operate at six points in Chiniot district and four sites in Toba Tek Singh district, he added.

He further said that administrators of the cattle markets have been directed to ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for coronavirus prevention.

The general public and animal dealers should cooperate with the market administrations for adopting preventive measures while selling and purchasing sacrificial animals at the sale points, he highlighted.
