A man was killed in an armed attack in New Karachi late Monday night.
According to New Karachi Police Station SHO Tahir, the deceased, identified as Salman, 32, was killed by unidentified armed men.
Salman's brother, Amir, who witnessed the incident and remained unhurt, told police that both of them were in their car parked near Saleem Centre when two unidentified men, on a motorcycle, came close to the vehicle and one among them shot Salman in the chest. As a result, Salman died on the spot.
Amir said that Salman worked in a factory. "I, like every other day, had given him a ride to Saleem Centre, from where the factory's transport would pick him. We were waiting for the transport when the incident took place," he added.
