Man sent on remand in sexual abuse case
A local court handed over on Tuesday a man accused of sexually abusing his daughter to the police on a three-day physical remand.
Judicial Magistrate Asif Ali Abbasi was hearing the case at Karachi City Court, where the police presented the accused.
The investigation officer (IO) informed the court that Rehman was accused of sexually abusing his 14-year-old daughter in Islamia Colony and the case against him was registered on his wife's behalf. The IO maintained that the complainant had told the police that accused Rehman had been sexually abusing their daughter who initially didn't tell anyone about it out of fear but later recorded a video of Rehman abusing her on a mobile phone to present as evidence.
Rehman confessed to sexually abusing his daughter before the court.
The court handed over the accused to the police on a three-day physical remand.
Robbery case
Meanwhile, East judicial magistrate handed over a robbery accused, Faizan, to the police on a two-day physical remand.
Faizan is charged with robbing a lawyer on Baloch Colony Expressway.
The IO informed the court that Faizan, along with an accomplice, had robbed Advocate Sheikh Waseem on Baloch Colony Expressway. He maintained that Farhan had to be interrogated so that his accomplice, who had fled following an encounter with the police, could be traced.
