To improve governance, the provincial Local Government Department on Tuesday launched a litigation information management system.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Local Government Department, in a notification on Tuesday, said that all relevant offices of the department will upload their respective data on legal and judicial proceedings on the system within 15 days. This system will then be used to track the progress of different legal cases and the performance of the department said K-P CM’s Special Assistant for Local Government Kamran Bangash.
Bangash said that details of legal and judicial cases underway in courts will be available online. The digitisation process, he explained, is essential for good governance and to ensure timely delivery of services.
The special assistant further said that the department has had a software specially developed for the purpose and that the concerned officers will have access to it to upload information from their offices.
