300 waste bins to be installed

Ahead of Eidul Azha

MULTAN:

As many as 300 waste bins would be installed by Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) before Eidul Azha to facilitate clean environment, said MWMC CEO Abdul Latif Khan. “A total of 111 bins will be placed around main highways while 107 at common markets and 82 at five sections of metro routes.”

The CEO on Tuesday initially marked installation points after holding brief visit in different parts of the city. Citizens were appealed to throw garbage inside the bins in order to maintain the cleanliness of the city.

Meanwhile, preparations for Eidul Azha started to be augmented in consonance with local district administration. Following this, the CEO paid a visit at the company’s workshop to review repairing of vehicles and containers to be plied on roads in the next few days. He vowed that no garbage or filth would be allowed to be accumulated at any part of the city especially on the occasion of Eid.

Speaking to the media, after visiting the workshop, the MWMC CEO said that all 135 vehicles of the department would be used to lift up garbage on Eidul Azha.
