Two shot dead, one injured

The complainant said his rivals had killed his brother and his friend over an enmity

LAHORE:

Two men have been killed and another injured in an armed attack on a vehicle in Harbanspura.

Muhammad Rashid told police that his brother Kashif Sharif left along with his friends Kashif Asif and Zohaib for some work outside the city on Sunday night from their house near Stee Mill Kotli Canal in a vehicle following his car.

As they covered a short distance from their hom, they were intercepted by motorcyclists carrying pistols and Kalashnikovs. He identified the attackers as Imran Sabir, Salman Sabir, Rehman Sabir, Rizwan Sabir, Imran Zulfiqar and three or four unidentified suspects.

He said the attackers resorted to indiscriminate fring.

As a result, Kashif Sharif and Kashif Asif died on the spot, while Zohaib suffered bullet injuries.

In a separate incident in Nawan Kot, a man was shot dead and his son injured reportedly over enmity on Monday. The victims identified as Aslam 50 and Hamza were heading somewhere for work when the suspect identified as Mazhar opened fire at them. Mazhar was arrested from the spot.
