Police get remand of alleged wife killer

Civil court grants five-day physical remand

RAWALPINDI:

A traffic warden accused of wife's murder was sent on a five-day physical remand by a civil court in Rawalpindi. Waris Khan Police was informed by Ehtisham Aslam, who is a driver, that his sister , Ghazala Naureeen, was a traffic warden and she was married to Iftikhar Hussain, who was a traffic warden too. Ghazala had informed Aslam about the abusive behavior of her husband. On the day, the victim called her brother home and when he reached there, the brother witnessed Hussain beating his sister and one of her ears was bleeding too. Upon seeing his brother-in-law, Iftikhar ran away. The complainant was moving his sister to the hospital but she succumbed to her wounds and died on the way.
