Man kills sister for planning fourth marriage

A man was arrested on Saturday soon after he killed his sister for divorcing her third husband and intending to solemnise the fourth marriage.

Tasawaar Bibi informed the Civil Lines police that she was walking along with her sister Bilqis when a motorcycle stopped by. The victim's brother, Shahid Abbas, got down from the motorbike and opened fire at Bilqis. The victim sustained serious injuries and succumbed to wounds and died on the spot.

The complainant informed the police that her sister had solemnised three marriages and that she had divorced her third husband on Saturday. She said that the victim wanted to marry for the fourth time but her brother was against Bilqis' decision.

The police registered a case against Abbas and booked him soon after the complaint was filed. As per the latest reports, the police have obtained physical remand of the suspect as well.
