Builder gunned down in Liaquatabad

Deceased was reportedly involved in a financial dispute

KARACHI:

A builder was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Liaquatabad on Thursday. The deceased, 55-year-old Asim Mohammad Khan, had reportedly been involved in a financial dispute, allegedly settling monetary transactions with someone over the phone shortly before he was killed. Following this, the suspects pursued Khan, who was on his motorcycle, and shot him in the head before fleeing. According to the police, the deceased was a builder from Federal B Area who would buy old houses in Liaquatabad, Golimar and other surrounding areas and later sell them as portions. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and was later handed over to the family. The police claimed that the suspects would be arrested soon.
