Citizen guns down alleged robbers

A man shot dead two people who had allegedly entered his house in the early hours of Wednesday. Kashif told the Tarnol police said he was sleeping in the open compound of his house with his family due to very hot weather and erratic power supply. “I woke up at around 1:30am due to sound of someone walking about,” he said and claimed that he saw three intruders trying to break lock of the door leading to the rooms inside the house. He opened fire on them with his licenced pistol killing two on the spot, while the third managed to escape. Police shifted the bodies to the DHQ Hospital for legal formalities and started investigations. They have also recorded the statement of Kashif.
