Man ‘tortured, strangled to death’
The body of a man, who had allegedly been tortured and strangled to death, was found from a house in New Karachi on Tuesday night. Police and rescue teams shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The body of the deceased, identified as Shakir, 40, had torture marks and he was seemingly strangled with a wire. According to the police, there were sewing machines in the house, while two of Shakir’s acquaintances, who worked with him at the house, are missing. The police suspect that these men may be involved in the murder. Further investigation is underway.
