In pictures: Haroon Rashid ties the knot in a small ceremony
One of Pakistan’s most beloved musicians, Haroon Rashid, tied the knot on Monday, June 29.
The 90s heartthrob looked every bit as dapper as you would expect him to – there’s a certain charm attached to him thanks to his singing sensation days, of course! However, his newly-wed wife, Farwa Hussain, was also a vision in a classic white and gold ensemble fit for a royal!
The two wed in a simple nikkah ceremony, thanks to the coronavirus outbreak. “We were planning for an August wedding but with coronavirus we decided to do a small simple nikkah ceremony now,” shared Haroon with The Express Tribune.
A simple ceremony, however, doesn’t mean you can’t look stunningly regal or make the most of your big day, certainly! Here’s a look into Haroon and Farwa’s gorgeous wedding, complete with adorable couple poses and of course, their stunning looks for the day.
Haroon opted for a classic Amir Adnan look for his big day, and one definitely can’t go wrong with that for a wedding, specially their own. The groom sported a traditional white kurta with a cream and gold waist coat to complete his look.
The couple kept it matching, with Farwa making for a beautiful nikkah bride in a white and gold jora by Warda Qutub Khan, featuring gorgeous gota work that’s been all the rage at this year’s bridal showcases – talk about staying on trend and classy!
Of course, the singer is elated at his union, and took to Instagram to share the news with his fans and followers. “I’m married!” he announced excitedly. “I feel blessed and overjoyed to have married one of the most amazing human beings I have ever known. True love is such a powerful and beautiful thing.”
He also went on to share that he’s waited his whole life for this moment and that he “looks forward to this exciting new chapter of my life with my beautiful and charming wife by my side.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
