The Indian Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) late on Tuesday night, killing a resident of Talwari village, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesperson.

A tweet stated that a young boy, resident of Talwari village, was martyred due to indiscriminate firing by the Indian armed forces.

Indian troops targetted the area's civil population using artillery, mortars and heavy weapons in the Lipa sector along the LoC.

The Pakistan Army responded effectively to Indian firing, targetting posts responsible for the aggression, the director-general added.

Late last month, the Indian army killed a civilian and injured two, after the Indian army initiated a ceasefire violation along the LoC.

13-year-old Iqra Shabbir was killed, while her mother and a 12-year-old boy were critically injured, due to firing by Indian troops in Hajipur and Bedori sectors of the Kashmir region.
