ACE arrests clerk for bribery
Okara Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested a clerk of agriculture department during a raid for taking bribe of thousands of rupees.
On the orders of Punjab ACE Director General Gohar Nafees, during an ongoing campaign to eradicate bribery in the district, District Circle Officer Muhammad Afzal Khan arrested Muhammad Nawaz.
The accused, posted in Depalpur Agriculture Department, was caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs20,000.
The accused demanded the bribe from Muhammad Amin, a resident of Sarai Amar Singh, Hujra Shah Muqeem, for allowing him to maintain a permit.
