Eight rescued from building rubble
At least eight people were injured after an under-construction building collapsed at a grid station of the Water Power Development Authority near Ferozepur Road railway crossing on Monday.
Rescue teams retrieved the injured from the rubble and shifted them to a hospital for treatment.
The building was being constructed in the premises of the grid station and eight people were stuck under the debris when it collapsed.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, teams of the police and Rescue 1122 service reached the spot and pulled out the people from the debris.
They shifted all the injured to a local hospital, where their condition was described as out of danger.
