Random violence: One killed in group clash

Half a dozen people were injured, including a policeman, in a group clash on Friday.

Violence erupted in Baldia Town when a young man was killed and half a dozen people were injured, including a policeman, in a group clash on Friday.


The police claim that the clash took place in sector 4-C Jumma Bazaar when two men called their supporters to settle a dispute. As soon as the men gathered they exchanged rounds of gunfire which killed 28-year-old Naeem and injured police sub-inspector Shaukat Zaman, Saleha Bibi and others. Saeedabad SHO Haq Nawaz claimed that arrests would be made soon. The deceased and the injured were taken to Civil hospital. No case has been registered as yet.
